Topshop is like a candy store...

...I'm easily misled. I'm not afraid to admit it, but when I walk into our local Topshop and it has a lot of its new season lines in, I can't help but feel a bit like a kid in a candy shop, and there was sugary goodness everywhere.

There's a strange feeling I get (sad, I know), which is a combination of sheer joy at the array of pastel colours this season has brought us, the cut-off denim - to produce shorter-than-short-shorts (quite possibly my no. 1 couldn't function without garment), and floaty dresses which define the essence of summer in one.

This is tied up with the underwhelming feeling that I won't get to own or wear a lot of it.

However, there are worse things out there and as it turns out, it's payday on Friday so I'm going to embrace some of it.

I don't need anymore tops. That's a fact. But I saw this and believe it's incredibly flexible

It can be dressed up or down, and I wore it yesterday with high waisted khaki shorts (embracing the summer temperatures in March - crazy...).

It's £20 from Topshop and I love love love the old-school American graphic print on the front. It's a bit loose fitting, but in a flattering way and will be coming in useful if the weather stays this nice!

My Second Post... & one of many more to come!

Things are finally getting underway now, dissertation is complete and handed in so that means that all my uni efforts are going into this!

I have a few key areas lined up to hopefully inspire and show people what this page is all about!

The weather has been absolutely beautiful in Carlisle this last week, and long may it continue! People have been out baring their pastey flesh, donning maxi dresses and getting their toes out of their winter boots!

I decided to embrace the elements today, and Topshop did me proud. As per.

Admittedly, the pic is a little bright but it does give a fairly accurate take on the colour of the dress. Retailing at £38, it's not extortionately priced but it is quite a plain dress in the sense it's one block colour and is a matt fabric.

The beauty of it is that it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion!

- I intend to belt it where it's elasticated around the waist and rock it with glad. sandals this summer :)
